Cricket returns to the Southern Hemisphere!

The Australian continent witnessed its last cricket match on March 13 where the Aussies and the Kiwis met and locked horns behind closed doors in the Gillette ODI Series. After more than 80 days of inactivity, cricket is finally set to make a comeback to the continent on June 06, 2020, with the Darwin T20 Cricket League.

The matches of the league are scheduled in a round-robin format, with 8 participating teams set to play a total of 15 games from June 06, 2020 to June 08, 2020. The tournament has managed to grab attention for having made the decision to allow up to 500 spectators at the venue. The cricketing world will be having a keen eye on the league as this is the first instance of a major cricketing nation organising a tournament since the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic.
