Cricket is set to make some noise in the Czech Republic!

In a bid to provide competitive action to cricket fans around the world to fill the void of live sport, and to promote the growth of cricket in the Czech Republic, the Czech Cricket Board, in collaboration with the European Cricket Network, has announced the commencement of the ECN Czech Super Series T10 League from June 13, 2020.

The tournament consists of 16 participant teams, and the matches have been scheduled in a set of four separate tournaments, the winner of which will battle in the final tournament for the championship. Matches have been scheduled to be played every weekend from June 13, 2020, to July 12, 2020.

The Czech Republic might not occur to most of us as a cricket-playing nation but they have been in the cricketing arena for quite some time. They have been registered as a member of the ICC since 2000. In fact, the tournament features a few prominent players from the Czech National Team and the tournament has already created a sense of curiosity among the cricket fans owing to its unique tournament format.
