Australia - Fantasy Centre

With the constant threat of the game being reduced to five overs, it is critical to build your team around the star opener, David Warner, and the three power hitting all-rounders in the top 5. We will include Josh Hazlewood in our XI alongside Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, and Marcus Stoinis due to the nature of the deck and the fact that he is Australia's most potent wicket-taking threat. This is Maxwell's home ground in the BBL, and if he can survive Wood's quick back-of-length pace, which is his biggest weakness on Australian decks, the opposition won't be able to do much. The 34-year-old, who has found batting form in the last three games, also has three left-handers to target in the opposition.
  • Maxwell in the last three 20-overs games: Runs - 74, Balls - 48, Outs - 3, SR - 154
Potential changes: Adam Zampa (fit again) in, Ashton Agar out Predicted Playing XI: David Warner, Aaron Finch (c), Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, Matthew Wade (wk), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Adam Zampa England - Fantasy Centre England's key players are undoubtedly Jos Buttler and Mark Wood. Buttler has yet to find his rhythm in the tournament, but with him keeping wickets and having some form coming in, he becomes a no-brainer. Additionally, the 32-year-old is one of the game's best captaincy options.
  • Josh Buttler in T20Is since his comeback in October: Inn – 5, 50+ scores - 2
  • Mark Wood in T20Is since his comeback in September: Inn – 5, 3-wicket hauls - 4
Liam Livingstone is an important pick for this game because he has a good chance of batting in the top four after what happened in the rain-shortened loss to Ireland. Given the opposition's RHB-heavy batting lineup, his bowling, as in the previous game, may be required as well. Because of the conditions and the vulnerability of Australia's top order to the bowling type, we will bring in left-armer David Willey if he makes the XI; otherwise, Chris Woakes and Sam Curran round out the trio for their all-round and death bowling value, respectively. Potential changes: Phil Salt in, Alex Hales out; David Willey in, Harry Brook out
  • Harry Brook in 20 overs cricket in Australia: Balls - 97, Runs - 82, Outs - 11, Avg - 7.45, SR - 84.5
  • Alex Hales - Number of 30+ scores in the last 10 innings: 1
Given England's poor performance with the ball in the previous game and the potentially beneficial conditions in Australia for pace bowlers, David Willey could make a comeback into the XI in place of Harry Brook, who hasn't had a good time playing in Australia so far, both in the BBL and in T20Is. Alex Hales' form has deteriorated to the point where England will be concerned, with the right-hander only managing to reach 30 in the last ten attempts. Predicted Playing XI: Jos Buttler (c & wk), Phil Salt, Dawid Malan, Ben Stokes, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, David Willey, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood Last Slot Shootout: Alex Hales vs Dawid Malan (Specialist batting slot to meet the minimum 3 batters requirement) You'll have to choose between Hales' lack of form and Malan's potential lack of crease time if the game is cut short. If the weather intervenes, hitters like Livingstone and Moeen will be promoted up the order over their No.3, reducing his fantasy potential.
